I recently crammed my family in a Corolla and drove them 3000km around Japan over 12 days.
I'm putting this online one day at a time if anyone here is interested in seeing Japan from the perspective of someone on this forum.
Days one and two are online now. More will follow:

What's that you say? Off topic? Naaaaaaaahhhhhh |

I have thought of a big road trip around Japan but have not had the guts to do it. This makes me reconsider that. Thanks.
What would you say your biggest challenge was?
What would you have changed about your trip? |

How much of the 12 days did u spend in the car? Also, was your car a James Bond type car that could float? |

Day THREE online now everyone.
Yes, we had a James Bond car. Specially adapted version of a Corolla where, you press a button, and a fully equipped car ferry surrounds the car for the journey from Oita to Kobe. You're just trying to get Day 12 details out of me before we've even got out of the first week... I know your game matey...
We spent nine days in the car and also one day in Kumamoto visiting friends and one day in Nagasaki seeing the sights and one day on the ferry (which admittedly did have a Kobe-Nagoya drive attached to the end of it though).
Biggest Challenge: Finding a place to camp every night (we didn't book in advance anywhere and had a place every night).
What would I change: More time in Kyushu and less in Shimane and Yamaguchi. |

Note via shmooj from the aforementioned Sheena:
"Oh, fat_chris, do you like the Ramones? Well it's better than the old Sheena Easton gag I suppose. That's quite refreshing. Not many people know that song."
fat, we joined this forum on the same day... weooweooweooweoo
I hope the jokes get better anyway...
enjoy day three y'all

Fat_chance from fat_chris. Those are about as good as my jokes get. In the humor department I focus more on quantity, not quality.
