Yes, he's right. Dress smart, walk in, smile and there's a good chance you'll land the job.

If thats worrying you then why are you even thinking about teaching?

Btw, would anyone like to guess at the % of teachers with A. QTS B. Masters. C. Degree. D. TEFL. E. High school. F. Barely standing

A. QTS B. Masters. C. Degree

A very high percentage of teachers employed as teachers in educational establishments will possess one or more of the above.

The rest are not teachers - they are native speakers. Native speakers do not require these qualifications because they are simply speaking their native tongue. Anyone can do that.

Disagree TP

A. QTS are the only qualified teachers

B Masters and C degree are just college educated people, not educators

Specialist Subject Teachers - MA. QTS are the only qualified teachers in the UK.

I do not want to work in the UK.

However, on principle, I agree with your disagreement Cool

A B.ed QTS or PGCE will open many of the larger doors and open up many more career paths.

Quite possibly. However qualified teacher status in your home country would be worth more.

Don't need a M.Ed for international schools, just normal teaching qualifications from your home country, eg BA + DipEd or B.Ed.

Usually a prerequisite for M.Ed is that you are already a qualified teacher. It is good if you want to move up into the big international schools around the world, but not necessary for 99% of them and none that I know of in Indonesia.
