Do they hire for the "academic year" normally in September?

Or is this a rolling contract?

Up to now they've been on a continual hire basis, from what I understand.

They have something like 67 slots, so there's the inevitable turnover.

I believe they've just had a sizable intake.

The process is lengthier than normal as you must go to TX and train on DLI material first....unless you already have that Cert., of course.

In my experience, they will observe you if you are seen as a liability. If they don't find anything untoward in your approach, then you'll be fine even if half your guys fail.

Stick to the book, do the exercises, force feed and try to elicit what you can whenever you can and you'll do fine.

And man, a group of six would've been a dream when I worked in the Navy. Most classes were 10+ for seven straight periods and it was the most arduous thing for both of us. "Sit up, shut up, stand up" was the order of the day every day.
