Peruvian food! Inti Raimi! Kawasaki station. North side, a couple blocks up on your left. F'ing fantastic. Eat ceviche, arroz con pollo, lomo saltado! You'll forget all about friggin' burritos- for a while anyway.
Arco Iris, on the other side of the street a bit closer to thestation, is also quite good.
As to the more serious tone this thread has taken- lots of countries have committed atrocities- my own, more than most
One thing I find hartening about Japan is that there is an actual significant pacifist movement. Wish I could say the same for the good ole US of A.

For Mexican food...
Salsita in Ebisu was good. It's a teeny tiny place with maybe 10 stools at a bar. Cost us 6000 yen for two with drinks, so maybe a bit on the expensive side. No chiles rellenos, but the enchiladas and carne asada tacos were really good. Nachos are a REALLY tiny portion, so better to skip em. Check www.bento.com for address and directions.

Japan need ATM's that aren't stuck in the bank and the ability to withdraw cash 24 hours a day and on public holidays.

Also people in shops need to start accepting credit cards or at least learning how to use the credit card machines they have.

Once I was in Shikoku trying to buy some CD's with my Mastercard. The shop had a Mastercard symbol in the window. I was told 'we don't take credit cards', so I pointed out the sign,'we only take Japanese Mastercard'. Which, even if it were true which it almost certainly wasn't, defeats the whole purpose of credit cards.

Another time I paid for dinner on a credit card only to spend half an hour as they went through the manual and tried to figure out how to work the machine. In fact this happened many times.

Seriously, what is up with the 3rd world banking system?
