Google... there are a number of Omani websites that list all the private and public colleges...
If people are interested, let them do the legwork...

Here is a list of universities in Oman by international 'web ranking'...
http://www.4icu.org/om/
SQU comes out top in 739th place. Al Mussanah College of Technology is ranked 8,633rd....so there's room for improvement.
And, wikipedia provides listings of links to the private colleges,
as well as the public ones in Oman, at the bottom of this webpage...

Pleased to be of service,

Krasnykamen,
The 7 colleges of Higher Technology operated by the Ministry of Manpower are in Al-Mussana, Ibra, Ibri,Muscat, Nizwa,Salalah and Shinas.
It took me precisely 2 minutes to Google this. It's a bit worrying if you cannot do the same! |

Or most likely insane/naive, unless you like working in a hot, open prison, with no alcohol or dating chances? |

What do you mean no alcohol? Booze is easily available and legal in Oman if you need it. Every hotel serves it. A liquor license is available to buy at the government stores.
Only Saudi and Kuwait are dry...

Not as easy as that. To get the license requires a car, and how do you carry said booze home without a car?
No these backward laws and rules need to be changed. Oman wants tourists, time to join the 21st century, that means beer and wine in all restaurants, not just hotels, beer sold cheaply and easily in shops, and western men being allowed to date Arab girls.
Until then I won't bother with that place.
Hotels close at certain holidays, if you have no license, then what? |

Yes! Quite the definition of the 21st Century!
It's about the BEST reason NOT to "join" the 21st Century! |

OMG you mean you wouldn't be able to drink for a day or two. HORRORS!! How can anyone be expected to survive such a calamity?
Oman is MUCH better off without you...

I'm just curious as to whether or not Urban Version has actually worked in Oman. I've got an alcohol license and a car IS NOT required for it. If a night life is what you're looking for, I wouldn't advise Oman. |

Replace "drink" with "hold/fondle/text with/talk on/look at/admire/worship a mobile" and "day" with "moment" and, Voila!, you've got hyour modern day Gulf Arab!
It's ridiculous! |
