No. Nothing as of yet.
I've got a sneaky feeling that although I "passed" the interview - other candidates may have been chosen. |

| Can they do that? I am not sure how their system works but usually if you pass the interview it usually means you have the job. |

That is certainly a possibility. Have you sent an email and asked if you are still under consideration or should you think about applying elsewhere?

Amborsea.
I'm sorry to tell you that it doesn't work that way.
HCT is a funky system. If you pass the interview, you then get accepted to the "pool."
All of the colleges choose their new staff from the pool, but that doesn't mean that every teacher in the pool will be chosen.
It is possible to pass the interview and not get posted to a school, and then get a call the next semester and be offered a position. |

Yes - I've dropped them an email and adorability is spot on - I'm in the "pool" of successful applicants for the position I applied for.
A couple of the colleges with this position have yet to decide who to take 'from this pool' - so I'm still in with a shout.
So whilst I'm not holding my breath, at least I know the current state of play and am a bit more knowledgeable on the 'HCT system'...
Good luck to those applying/being interviewed/or making the move!
cheers,

Hi all,
I would like to ask if any one knows more about Madinat Zayed College or Ruwais Colleges? Though nothing is yet known about my application...as it is in the 'pool' of successful candidates who were interviewed in October....any experiences in MZ or RU college?
cheers!

| There's been a few threads about these campuses - take a quick look with the search function and then if you have more specific questions, we might be able to help you more effectively. |

And it might be best to ask those questions in a new thread... rather than hiding it in the middle of this salary thread. Makes it easier for the next person with your question.

HeV1.
From what my sources tell me the director of both of those schools is very hands on, a huge motivator and very big on instructor professional development.
I have had several teachers tell me that if this director was at any other college besides MZ/Ruwais they would ask to transfer to work for him.
The biggest issue is that they are in the boonies and there is not a lot to do there. |
