Never occured to me how funny the name of the Brazilian, Elano, sounded in Spanish until Sunday. Cue the double-entendre jokes...

You know who would play well with Elano? The Nigerian number 6...

So the UK and Slovenia are in, US out. Funny how that single bad call by the ref was the difference between the US finishing atop the division and out of the tourney.

Wrong on two counts, Guy!

The UK isn't in; ENGLAND is.

...and the USA scored in the last minute and win the group.

Only problem now: Our next opponents could be Germany, then Argentina or Mexico. Everybody shout for Ghana in the later game!

Even Alexi Lalas gave a "shout out" last week how he was impressed with Mexico and that they are a good team in his eyes.

I've played hockey for 19 yrs...and I think the flow of the game is very similiar except soccer players have a lower pain threshold and whinning is to prevalent. Also, scoring chances and the final score are so low.. a 1 goal score is the majortiy of outcomes.

But on the bright side all you need is a ball and two stones marking the goal and its game on rather than most other sports. Try outfitting yourself or a kid for hockey! 2k

It's the same old story for Mexico, but they were up against a team that were better than them, so there's no disgrace in it.
