That's all that matters, then. What a company does with its earnings doesn't matter as long as they don't try to push such beliefs on their employees.

A little late but...

On the topic of hiring, Peppy hire all year round. I applied a few weeks ago and have my interview in two weeks. They also know that I wouldn't be able to fly out until at least mid July because I'm currently working at a school.

I also understand the whole rural vs urban dilemma! I am currently taking an entry level Japan course and can now read and write hiragana and katakana (Which was surprisingly easy!) and speak/ understand the basics but I still don't feel all that confident. I haven't really looked at Kanji yet! I know about five... haha. But anyway, I'm mostly worried that I'll end up being lonely. With Peppy it's hard to socialise with colleagues as you will be the only foreigner at your particular school and you work there alone. I think I'd feel more secure in a more urban setting. I'm not too worried about making friends with other foreigners though as I do want to make good progress with my Japanese! ^^

Anyway, good luck! Hope you find a way to Japan! I thought of applying to Interac. I started the application process when I got my interview with Peppy. I'll finish it off if the itnerview doesn't go well.

You could join an int'l organization to meet more people. I'm in two myself. YIRA (Yonezawa Iternational Relations Association [I think lol]) and AIRY (Association of International Relations of Yamagata....I think). lol I always had trouble remembering acronyms. ^^
