Shostakovitch any time! I have spent years researching his life and music and it sadly also reflects in many ways what Putins regime is doing to todays Russia.......pretending to progress while going backwards to times which nobody wants to be reminded of!
But I also love Tchaikovsky and the other Russian romantics....
