Given the nitaqat initiative, there's no guarantee you'll find a better job while in KSA, but if you do, it may be a hassle to transfer your iqama. Also, be aware that an exit/reentry visa for travel outside the Kingdom requires the approval of your employer.

The school or company that you work for can refuse to issue a Letter of No Objection. Without the letter you have to wait one year before being re-employed by another company. Maybe your job doesn't involve that, I don't know. As far as being blacklisted, I backed out on a job for another agency although I never went through the visa process. I was rehired by another company however I never got my visa until one year from the date that I backed out on the previous company. Maybe a coincidence, I don't know. |

| If he were blacklisted by the min of H Ed, why would that prevent him from getting a visa or iqama outside of higher ed? Why? Do you know for a fact that the min of labor for example checks with higher ed? How would you know this? |

Government Ministries and Agencied in Riyadh are not in the habit of discussing their operational procedures. Be sure that they keep an eye on sites like this and are probably now aware that Dr Haron, an Arab national working ion Australia only wants to be in KSA to be near his granny in Amman/Cairo/Nablus.

It's all conjecture; the OP is essentially asking a "what if" question. The point is that no one can really say for sure what the employer will/will not do---whether any adverse action is reported to the jawazat/General Directorate of Passports (iqama authority under the Ministry of Interior); the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (issuing authority for initial visas for employment, temporary work contract, family visit, etc.); or to whatever other ministries for that matter. |
