Bars, restaurants, shops and trips of course. Shenzhen has great options for all of these. A good place to live if you're on over 15k pcm.

If you prefer a slow-paced, part-time, uni lifestyle though, then it's not really the place to be. Nor is any tier 1 city I imagine.
