It still really matters where the OP wants to go. While his/her MA will definitely be recognized, it won't equate to 'the world is his oyster.' For example, it won't get him/her into most Western European countries. Job market and visa issues will still apply; that's why I suggested it might be useful for him/her to give us some idea where he/she wants to go - we could better say then how likely it is that he/she will find a job and also what type.

Yup. Absolutely no question that a newly minted MA does not trump European Union labor regulations, or Schengen Treaty visa requirements.

OP, if you were not already aware: the question of where you can legally work depends not only on your qualifications, but also on your Canadian (presumably?) citizenship.
