So most of the employees at the MOM and MOHE colleges are content with their positions eh? People contributing to this discussion forum making negative comments about these institutes are isolated malcontents yeah? Here are some 'facts' about our local college of applied sciences.......Of 40 new recruits [September 2013] 8 have already left.[Runners.] Of the remainder-25 of them don't intend to extend their stay beyond the first year. I've no idea about Sohar....maybe the government college there is a great place to work! |

Another fact is that these recruiters don't vet their applicants as well as they should and many teachers don't inform themselves of what they should expect... and others are unable to adjust, but as you have confirmed, most were able to last a year.

OP
I know well over 100 EFL teachers here who really like their job and employer, myself included. We're all at SQU. Quite a number of them have left much higher paying jobs elsewhere in the Gulf (and other good work environments even) to come and work here. |
