You will most likely need a new criminal check as yours will have been 12 moths old by then. The notorizations on your degree will be fine. What state are you from? In CA I was able to have the sheriff print a record for me and send it to the notary public (same building), then have it sent to my parents, who mailed it to me here in VN. Everything will need to be US notarized (can do it at the consulate) and then translated into VNese and certified by the VN Govt office, but this was all pretty straightforward in-country.

Quick question...I'm planning on starting work this August in Hanoi. I had my U.S. state police background check and degree notarized in August 2015. I'm currently in Spain and plan on going straight to Vietnam. Any idea if my notarized background check and degree will still be accepted by the time I arrive in VN |
