1. How do you deal with discipline problems in class?
2. When can you start? |

The latest I heard is that Baish is in the middle of nowehere with a 70-kms hike to work from the compound every day. |
I have visited Baish with my car in 2003, it is a small town between Jazan (69km) and Al-Darb, the area is in the middle of the desert, and you need to buy a gun to protect yourself, especially during night. I have seen the locals with their Kalashnikov and curved knives roaming in the area.
The area is full of immigrants from Yemen and Somalia, and with the civil war in Yemen, there is a possibility that you will be under the radar of AlQaeda or Al-Houti of Yemen. So, watch out when you go to the beach! |

Well, I'd never imagined I'd be here at all, but I'm smack in the middle of here. Maybe Baish is the natural progression to get the whole experience of the place. |

"I have visited Baish with my car in 2003…"
You have visited in 2003? Did your car have a good time there? |

Anyone have updated info on SESP/AMIDEAST?
Particularly: AmidEast is talking to me about the 'Juaymah' training center, which appears to be close to Dammam; are the Jauymah and Dammam centers the same, or separate?
Interviewing: Saw some posts from way back that talked about issues with interviewers. Not that that's going to scare me off, but any tips/info from people who have recently gone through the process would be much appreciated. |

As mentioned, the first interviewer is a nice guy with several years experience who conducts more of a general first interview. He provides some info about the company and asks some fairly straightforward questions.
Second interviewer is a highly professional guy who really tries to find out what kind of a teacher you are. After a brief introduction and a short summary of who I am, he asked the following questions:
- A student says 'I like go shopping' - How would you deal with this situation?
- After a few more weeks of the course I come into your classroom and the student still says "I like go shopping' - What do you do now?
- Which one of the four skills do you feel most comfortable teaching?
- Tell me how you know that your lesson about this skill is going well.
- You're working with two other teachers in your team. One is very relaxed about crossing the 't' and dotting the 'i'. The other is very strict and will absolutely not accept any mistakes in punctuation and spelling. Which of the two teachers would you relate to? Why?
- Now the other teacher is upset and doesn't want to work with you any more. How would you deal with this situation?
- If I come into your classroom, what kind of a teacher can I expect to see?
As you can see, the second interviewer knows exactly what he wants and therefore some might feel a bit overwhelmed by his approach. |

Well, when you look at some of the zombies walking around here in this country, that question might actually have its purpose |

Imagine quitting your day job for the decent lucrative pastures in Saudi Arabia. |
