Why do you ask others to do what you can easily do for yourself? Write an email to the CFTU like I did and ask for the white list if that is what you want.

Like I said on another of your many threads, I did email them, but I think I'll see a pink unicorn flying overhead before I get a reply from that outfit.

Why don't you post the email you sent them including the headers and I will cut and paste it into my own email and send it to them for comment? As I said before, I sent them three emails and got replies to all three. The address I wrote to is [email protected]. What email address did you write to?

Dear Recruiter/agency:

A member of Dave's ESL Cafe Forum says that you're full of tofu. Please reply. Thousands of foreigners want to come to China using your services, but a member named Juice says that you are a bunch of BS artists.

What an odd post considering that you yourself "Bud Powell" previously suggested that recruiters and agents are not needed and teachers should find their own teaching jobs directly with FAOs. Have you changed your mind Bud and if so, why?

If I remember a few months ago there was an email template that was to be sent to recruiters covering various registration details to ensure they are legal

Where is the template ?

That was a template made up by Juice, or one of their many aliases. I wouldn't put much faith in its utility. If you do your research and have common sense, you'll be fine.

True but for someone sitting at home thinking of making the leap it might be enough for them to send it to recruiter and if the recruiter isnt legit could be end of conversation and lucky escape for newbie

I read that template, and it would be highly unlikely any recruiter (legit or not) would ever fill it out and send it back. They'd look at it and say "What the hell is this?" Even if they did fill it out you'd never be able to confirm anything on the form. That template was a stupid idea that Juice or one of his aliases came up with.

Ah well the reason I ask is I saw an advertisement for a recruiter on a Thai ESL facebook group. I asked the question if the company was legal since then its been been about 20 messages back and forward and hes not proved anything yet merely insulted me for questioning his company haha

And you need a checklist to find out if they're legit?

Best to move on. Don't waste your time with people like this. He may very well be legal, but does it matter? If this is the way he talks to people walk away.
