I love maruss' stories.
The time he picked up a girl in the library and ended up in a vietnamese POW camp, living on rice and being forced to play Russian Roulette.
The time he picked up a girl in the supermarket and ended up becoming involved in national espionage which resulted in Snowdon being sent to Russia.
The time he picked up a girl in Schokoladnitsa and ended up spending 6 months on the International Space Station.
Whenever maruss starts to tell a story about a girl he once met, you just get a cup of hot chocolate, a blanket and prepare for an epic adventure. |

Although I now look back on many of my experiences in Russia, they did not extend to such exciting limits......to be honest there were some which could have turned out very badly for me so perhaps I was luck that I left when I did! |

Come on, teacher x! How about a few anecdotes from your exploits in Moscow. I'm sure you've been picked up by the organs a couple of times... : ) |

I was chased by the police once, although I never understood why. I was simply walking down the street when I heard shouting over the top of my headphones. I turned around to see two police officers running down the street towards me. Obviously my immediate thought was, "ugh, great".
One of them then began shouting at me. I had only been in Russia for a couple of months and my Russian only really stretched to, "Ya ploxo govoryu po-russiki".
I didn't have my passport as a new visa was being processed. But I did have some document in Russian which explained as much. I handed it to the angry officer, he read it, looked confused, then looked even more angry and walked away from me.
I never worked out what the problem was, as I had simply been walking down a street. I was also fully dressed at the time. |

Around 3pm. Is that 'chase time'? |

Sorry, I missed this.
Anytime you are on the street acting suspiciously is 'chase time'.
You've been warned before, Teacher X. The comrades may lose patience in you and your decadent ways... |
