I feel bad for whoever works for this company at that salary. Ultimately they will see whoever signs the contract as someone who is ready and willing to allow them to take the piss.

Why feel sorry for those who choose to work for any of these contracting companies? They're adults making adult decisions. Besides, different strokes for different folks. Just because something doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean it bothers others.

If enough people just flat out refuse offers like this, is there a chance of the salary offers going back up? Honest question for people who have been here for a while.

That's not going to happen for the reasons I gave above. Plus, the majority of contracting companies state the salary range in their job ads; therefore, job seekers shouldn't be put off or surprised if that's just what they're offered. Anyway, this is nothing new. These contracting companies aren't interested in paying big (and often unrealistic) salaries. They want to keep costs down because they're in the business of making money. Best to avoid these outfits and focus on the better direct-hire employers if you have the requisite qualifications.

I'm talking about round the clock grading, extending well into the weekends (both days, early mornings to late nights)... No... free... time... whatsoever... for someone who is well trained, offered 3,200 per month, that's offensive.

Just offend them back by pretending that you do it and smile at them at the same time. Though, for 3200USD not even worth pretending.

Careful, you might offend some of the recruiters on here.
