Yes, I wrote it that way, but in the video it's only oral, so still unclear.

It took me a few seconds to relocate the narrator's comments (in the comments section for that particular video):

I still think he's from the west coast.

Here's another voice that I find grating. Very nasal, and full of that up-talking that drives me round the bend... This reviewer called Michael.

California too?

He's based in Vancouver, Canada. At least that's what his profile states.

Sasha, old bean - have you really got nothing better to do than object to how some Yanks speak? You spend your life teaching Russians to improve their English, and here are guys who you may find annoying, but know all their idioms. What if there were a woman who was really into you but she talked like this? Or what if some fellow who talked like this joined your faculty, and dagnabbit he was a real standup guy who would sub your classes without bitching about it, and spot you a fag or a vodka just for the asking? You Brits take your accents too seriously. There are other ways to speak English, and sometimes very good people speak in these ways. Lighten up! Smile

Yes, I know. Just being sarky. But there does seem to be some sort of emerging, and grating, accent of sorts from that side of the world. Shall we call it Nasal Pacific Rim pronunciation?

Achk! More irritating than nails screeching across a blackboard...
