So basically I showed you exactly how you're wrong, and the only thing you attempt to reply to is that "qualified teachers won't be posting here"? |

Thanks for directing all the Vietnam posters to the newbie thread, VC, so that we can be sure no newbies are misguided by your poor advice there. |

Or yours obviously.
But seriously that's where this discussion belongs.
Posters with absolutely no knowledge or experience in the VN thread should not be posting here in the VN thread.
Especially threads about expenses, qualifications, working conditions. This should not have to be explained to any responsible adult or teacher. |

Yet, your limited knowledge of decent qualifications doesn't seem to limit your contributions to discussions about them... |

I'm still waiting for you to prove it.
It's truly amazing how many threads about quals or teaching in Asia that you have contributed to you were closed by mods.
Pretty much every thread closed by a mod on this board involves you attacking posters on this board who disagree with you on those topics.
Why?
Because you just keep shooting your mouth off and never, ever back up anything you say. You just keep getting nastier. You and your pals.
You are just making up everything you say. There is no proof anywhere on theses boards to substantiate anything you claim.
There sure is a wealth of posts to disprove your bizarre theories.

If you understand why Barney and Sesame Street work then you understand why a CELTA doesn't work (beyond doing lesson planning) in a YL setting.
If you don't then stick to big kids or adults.
A 3 year old is NOT 1/2 of a 6 year old is NOT 1/2 of a 12 year old is NOT 1/2 of a 24 year old.
Beyond that, at young to very young ages they are not learning "EFL/ESL" they are simply "learning language" through natural acquisition (their linguistic skills are not well developed in any language yet).
Grammar is the old lady who lives across town (ie: your mother's mother).

i have a celta and have taught kids.
aside from lesson planning and getting comfortable with games, the celta doesn't help a lot withkids.
Your turn. |

VC, you know nothing about qualifications beyond your own online cert. You are clearly not qualified to discuss qualifications. |

Which threads have been closed on this board? Only one on the Vietnam board has been closed recently. I didn't post on it.
In any case, perhaps you mean other boards? If so, you'll have to take up matters like this with those responsible. That isn't me. |

I am most certainly qualified to discuss qualifications in Vietnam. I work here. You don't. You are not qualified to discuss qualifications in VN. |

Yet, your comments on Celtas, Trinity certs, Deltas, MAs in TESOL display nothing but ignorance... |

What comments? Prove it.
You are making this up.
Ignorance is coming to the VN board when you have never worked here and claiming that one needs a TEFL to teach adults in order to get a job here. Defending that position against all the evidence is just mind boggling. |

Your comments about the Delta : ) They were hilariously inaccurate, to put it as kindly as possible... |

Post them or link them.
Or just keep making stuff up.
Whatever. |

You'll just deny it anyway. But you can use the search function if you really have forgotten. It is your friend - just like Google : ) |

Not making anything up. Nor have I a selective memory. This is true of me, but I remain unconvinced that this is so for everyone posting here... |
