Personally, I think the IB or Scottish system is far more appropriate for that age group. However, it's not really compatible with current university system in E/W. For a while, it did seem like there was movement in that direction (even A/S levels were a tentative attempt to broaden the curriculum). But with the increases in university fees there would be a lot of resistance now if they tried to move to compulsory 4 year university degrees in E/W. Of course, that's not an issue for Scottish students. |

No. You just need a bachelor's degree. About ten years ago Korea defined a University degree as a four year degree and had to drop that four year requirement as it would have eliminated most candidates from most countries.
You really need to check your target countries' requirements to legally teach there. |
