I am sure the house of Obama is not happy with your comment. |
Why?
By political analogy, Obama is the first African-American president of the USA, and Khan is the first Muslim Mayor of London.
I think Obama will endorse my comment with a White House compliment. |

I could add my dissenting voice, but as it's not fashionable these days, and arguing with liberals is like playing chess with pigeons (they knock over all the pieces, cr** on the board and strut about as if they are victorious), it isn't worth it. |

Dear Phil_K,
OK, here's my borrowed bon mot:
"I could agree with you, but then, we'd both be wrong."

Mr. Soetoro is not just the first African descendent to be president, he is the first Muslim to be president. Your implication is that the Mayor of London is more powerful than the US president. |

OMG - he's actually suggesting that diversity and more equitable representation might be a good idea.
As an old white guy, I certainly don't see the need for any of that. We (OWGs) are perfectly capable of discerning and addressing (or not) the needs of women and minorities. After all, we've had many centuries of practice doing (or not doing) just that.
Regards,
John |

Hey, I totally agree. It's obvious that only we OWGs actually MERIT any such positions.

Borrowing a borrowed saying - tsk, tsk.
You seem to have run out of ideas and arguments. But silly me - that happened to you years ago.

Do they have Mohammedans throwing down carpets on the Tube in order to pray on the floors at the exact right moment that Mohammed (Peace be upon him) has instructed them to? Lots of luck for the centuries old Tube system, but why should that be a problem because everything springs from the blessings of Allah. |

Claiming victory when there was no battle. Odd style of argumentation. To each their own.

Tough to say. Moderate Muslims might be assimilated enough to work the Tube but the new allamah may not approve.
