In general, Polls are not reliable, and the 2016 USA presidential election has a special flavour compared to the previous ones:

1. If Clinton wins the Democrats nomination (which looks very likely), then it will be the first time in the USA history that a woman has done so. - and this will make things complicated because of the reaction of voters to a woman candidate?

2. Both candidates are unpopular. The question is which one is the least unpopular?

To answer the above question, you need to do a research in human behaviour and decision making in the USA political map?

Even 47 % of REPUBLICAN women don't like Trump. Only 31% of ALL Republican voters favor him.

“GOP strategists fear that Trump clinching the nomination could present an opportunity for Democrats, who are poised to choose the first female presidential nominee and who in past elections have accused Republicans of waging a ‘war on women’ over access to affordable women’s health care, abortion rights and pay equity….’Hillary Clinton is very, very vulnerable among this group of women that she needs to have as her base: independent women, and soft Republican women. She’s very vulnerable with them today,’ [GOP strategist Katie] Packer said. ‘Should we nominate Donald Trump, they will flock to her because they see him as someone who’s repulsive. And it’s not just about so-called ‘women’s issues,’ it’s about how he values women and about how he’s willing to make women feel to benefit himself."

Hillary has a big problem among men, as well, but it's not as big as Trump's problem Smile

https://theintercept.com/2016/03/21/women-hate-donald-trump-even-more-than-men-hate-hillary-clinton/

And more women vote than men do: "In 2012, the difference in turnout was nearly 4 percentage points (63.7 percent of ladies voted vs. 59.8 percent of gents)"

The GOP is imploding.

Huh, I actually-clutch the pearls-agree with Johnslat. One of my favorite things about the Trump Effect has been the trashing of the GOP and Conservatism, Inc.

Dear steki47,

"Huh, I actually-clutch the pearls-agree with Johnslat."

Now all that is needed is for the Seventh Seal to be broken.

"When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. 4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.
The Trumpets

6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.

7 The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

8 The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, 9 a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

12 The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.

13 As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”

Dear John,
And locusts. Don't forget the locusts. Meet me in Pattaya and we can split a bag of fried grasshoppers. My treat.

Hugs and kisses,

I do not recall any reference to Pattaya in the Book of Revelations.

We must have different versions.

"And the Lord smote the people of Siam with locusts. Thereafter, they ate locusts."

Clinton will be the next president. It's almost a given.

A Trump win would nicely be in a direction of putting a cap on the immigration of all the people that are dumbing up the U.S., however immigration is not the biggest problem facing the US.. Owners and CEO's and lower executives wanting to make the most money possible at the expense of the average worker and average citizen, and at the expense of the health of any company unfortunate enough to be run and owned by these avaricious people is the problem, and Trump unfortunately represents that.

These villains who cut as much costs as possible by their hiring practices and low pay and benefits to the average person are in competition with another group equally villainous. The other group being the liberals who see immigration as a means for more voters to get themselves powerful and elected (good riddance Sanders). As it is, the immigrants provide lower costs to the owners and executives raking in the cash. Also immigrants take jobs away from those Americans that need them as a resource while waiting to get hired for better jobs. Immigrants may pay taxes, but they don't pay very much, and my father paid taxes and still relied on insurance and his own money for medical care for our family. Those groups both representing avarice and more immigration to the US and to the West need to be stopped. Anyone for resurrecting Robespierre and the concept of a "government of virtue"?

I'll say...
Examine the contradiction of: Immigrants are lazy/uneducated AND They Are Stealing 'r jerbs!

Some of the better polling is calling it for Clinton-- but what's not mentioned enough (IMHO) is how close recent elections have been. I mean, Kennedy/Nixon-- that was close. Now it's sandwiched between "hanging chads" and Bush/Kerry (I think that's right).

Anyone confidently calling this race is provoking a response or advocating.
Anyone old enough to recall Reagan shouldn't be surprised by Trump's nonsense or his viability as a candidate.

For all the clown show it might be, I'll be happy so long as England and America manage to avoid bombing general populations.

What about the rest of the UK?
Don't they manage to avoid bombing general populations? Very Happy

It seems some Americans confuse England with Britain or the UK?
The Scots, Welsh, and Northern Irish will be upset about this? Very Happy

The future King of England is coming .......

Not if she is indicted. There is quite a large and intense FBI investigation going on that has been showing some ominous signs lately.

Anyone want to wager on Hillary's being indicted or not?

I'll take "not," and give odds. Before you decide, you might want to look at the professionals (by the way - is GOOD, + is NOT good: Everything is base 100. A + is what you win off of a $100 bet, and a - is how much you need to wager to win $100.)

2016 US Presidential Election - Next President of the United States

Odds as of May 11 at Bovada

Hillary Clinton -275
Donald Trump +250
Bernie Sanders +1600

2016 US Presidential Election – Democratic Presidential Nominee

Odds as of May 11 at Bovada

Hillary Clinton -2500
Bernie Sanders +1000

John
