It is getting to be the end of the term! I have been here a few months now, and I do feel I can formulate a better expression of how I feel about the place. (The short version would be that I'd call my experience this term mixed: some good, some not so good; not perfect, but also not appalling.) Saudi Arabia turns out to be kind of a terrible place to live in general, but then again everyone did warn me about that, and that's not an issue with PMU specifically. I'm not planning on cutting and running, for what that's worth.

I am also somewhat hesitant to just start rambling, given that, as some folks have mentioned, it's a certainty that other employees, and perhaps also employers, also read these forums. If anyone has specific questions, I can try to address those. Also, if anyone would like to message me privately, I am willing to try to answer questions there.

I will say that, after being here a few months, it seems to me that the probable explanation for so few people being here with complaints -- at least, for the section and area I work in -- is that, in fact, that they don't have complaints they feel strongly enough about to want to vent on Dave's. People do seem to keep themselves busy with their work, and occupied with professional and social projects, networks, hobbies and commitments. So you can take that as a recommendation, I suppose, at least as far as it goes.
