Using the communicative approach. As long as the readers 'got it' that's the main task achieved.
If some only see it as a chance to pedantically correct for textual accuracy, their classes must be hell. |

Dang!! Lighten up, people; this isn't a classroom.
I'm a big fan of the piece and was just making small talk. Does everything have to be taken as serious criticism?
A friend of mine often says, "Jim and me are ...". I correct him and he understands that it's friendly banter regarding an informal communication style, not an attack on his language skills.
We REALLY need a tongue-in-cheek emoticon. |
