No, that's not the case. They have already cut their teaching staff to the bare minimum unfortunately, so the 2 pieces of over-paid dead wood will remain for the winter period at least.
After 'releasing' scores of good people in recent times, it has now become a place where it's almost impossible to get fired. |
The 2 overpaid, dead pieces of wood are on borrowed time I think. Isn't one of them the Anthropology fellow? The qualification challenged one who already failed 2 formal observations? God only knows what value LCI believe he is adding to their organisation so I believe he will be culled in the summer for sure. The Cornish Elf will have his day in the summer too I think.
Expect to see lots of local bi-lingual hires on 10K SARs a month in the near future. They'll probably be placing ads in The Cairo Times

Don't worry Balzac: it's a marathon, not a sprint. I'm confident that justice will be done within the next few months.

Lord T,
I'm impatient as justice needs to be served. I'm a great believer in natural justice and that sometimes karma can be a real bitch

It seems there is more disruption at TTC where Lincoln College is the latest provider.
The English HOD has been dismissed under unusual circumstances. Apparently he made inappropriate comments of a cultural nature.
After Lincoln held an inquiry into the matter, he was summarily dismissed and given 1 week's notice to leave his compound.
This is noteworthy for 2 reasons. The HOD in question, I am advised, would be the last person to be culturally insensitive. That is not his way by all accounts.

I wonder what culturally insensitive comments he made. Perhaps he finally came to his senses one day. |

If the Lincoln College management/accountants are competent, they will be fully aware that a teacher with nothing more to offer than an unrelated bachelor's, is not worth 50% more in salary and benefits than those with
related MAs, Deltas, and teaching certificates. |

Well I think we can safely say they must've already passed that point as the two deadwoods are, as far as I know, still there drawing a pretty decent salary. How long for is anyone's guess but clearly qualifications cannot be high on the college senior management's list of criteria for good quality teachers, or they'd have been shown the door some time back.

Balzac, your frustration is justified. Many at LCI feel the same way. However, few would want to be in his shoes right now, regardless of the inflated salary he receives.
Just having the Cornish Elf as one's only ally would be stressful enough to put most people in hospital! |
