You are not the only holder of an MBA I have met who is teaching EFL. Seems quite common. To those who think getting this qualification will lead to an escape from TEFL drudgery : beware this warning.
Go spend the money on something else ! |

There are some teaching options that an MBA can open up. Many of the colleges in the Gulf will let you cross over and teach the lower level business courses - along with or in place of your EFL classes.
I did that at two of my jobs - taught such things as Introduction to Business and Accounting. I must say that to me teaching business was much more rewarding (and fun) than teaching language.

(BTW, I don't have an MBA, but one of my BA majors was business, plus I worked in business for many years) |
