You need to find out WHY you have to do such commutes as most universities house you on-campus, though my emplouyher also requires me to do bus trips to one of its distant campuses.
In general, this is not the norm, and it is a serious question: socvialist China makes up for many of its bad living conditions by offering accommodation within WALKING distance rather than obliging you to find a flat on your own, furnish it and travel every day.
Anyway, if you do accept one of those jobs where you have to go by bus, make sure the lessons are in BLOCKS rather than staggerted over a whole day, with lots of hours without anything important to do.
BUssing entails a number of problems: do you have an office of your own on campus? Can you use computers, a copier, telephones? IS the bus operated by the university, or is it a public one?
Note that universities do run shuttle buses, but often you have to waste quite some time waiting fort them.
Taking these things into consideration, yourt QIngdao job offer might be the most acceptable one! |
