Just before I accepted a job with ECC I also received a job offer from Geos. The interview process was okay if a little tedious. Then after a full day there, they came up with the bright idea of giving us homework. I mean a full lesson plan involving props etc. that you then had to post to them. I never bothered doing this yet still got offered the job. A guy who was at the same interview as me posted a lesson plan to them but they turned him down. And they later added insult to injury by asking him to pay the balance on the postage (about 36 yen) for the lesson plan he sent in, as he never got it weighed. Then to add near-fatal wounding to injury they then asked him to post back their pretty hefty sized Geos guidebook at his own expense. The whole saga made them look pretty cheap I'm afraid. I know two other teachers who worked for them. One lasted for a year and hated pretty much every minute of it. Another was told she would be posted to the Tokyo region and when she reached Japan she was sent to Nagoya. This is all kind of hearsay and I don't want to damn them without personal experience but I haven't heard a lot of positive stories about Geos unfortunately.
