I started this post and put it on the job related posts as you can see from my two previous notes, I was talking about the classroom and the Olympics. I guess it does not matter , as I see everyone talked about the Olympics and not about their job with relation to the Olympics. Canada was a disappointment in these Olympics/ The government did not invest in the athletes with the funds that the athletes thought they should have. I read some information that stated that the tax payers wanted the government to put money into the homeless and poor children instead. From what I know Canada and US do not pay winners for gold, silver and bronze medals, instead endorsements of products is where the money is for them/ China paid gold medal winners 2oo,000 rmb for gold, and other amounts for silver and bronze. Now that school is starting back up, will you use the olympics as topic in your classrooms, even though it is after the fact , Olympics are over??
