| Currently working in the travel industry in Seattle, WA. I was previously an ESL teacher. I'm really undecided if I want to return to ESL. In so many ways I feel I'm not cut out to be a teacher. Yet, at the same time, I do not belong in the English-only speaking corporate world, either. I miss having contact with immigrants. I grew up a minority in my own homeland. I've always felt a connection with immigrants. And I'm a teacher "for the people". |

I'm currently in my second year of training as a Library Technician. I taught ESL over a 7 year period in Mexico, Japan, Toronto and Vancouver. I thoroughly enjoyed my time abroad, living in other cultures and teaching ESL. However teaching ESL back in Canada I discovered that I didn't enjoy the teaching as much and I felt I needed a change in career direction. I found I enjoyed doing research more than the actual teaching experience. But I still have a love for the ESL field and its opportunity for travel overseas.
Ps. This would be my dream job...
