Zero, take a look at this regarding residing in China.

While it doesn't specifically say so, I would think a person would have a good shot at a residence permit if they owned an apartment and had either a regular disbursement from their pension fund or a significant sum on deposit in a Chinese bank- either of which would demonstrate to the authorities that you're not likely to be on the dole. |
