when you are terrible with money (as it appears you are, sorry), you have little choice.

how can i be damn terrible with money

I saved 20k for four years before going to univeristy--but because i got a criminal record(for something so minor) i couldnt do anything

I dont think you understand what a criminal record is ---it means no one will hire you

Its impossible to manage my money when i have zero income

dont comment if you dont have nothing constructive to say

Im trying to dig myself out

Im exploring my option unlike other people that just leave the country with huge debt loads and never pay

After five years i dont think ill get a job in psych so time to move on ---id like to do radiology and dont care about the debt as long as i have the means to pay its only 10k

Are you asking us to sell you on ESL teaching?
As I mentioned before, you probably have a better chance to pay down your debt at an entry-level job in Canada, if you really don't want to teach. Hope you'll consider that as constructive..........

I know what a criminal record is. Before I decided to become a teacher, I was becoming a parole officer. It is not impossible to obtain employment though. Yes, most Psychology jobs are out of reach for someone with a criminal record. Especially within Social Services and Criminal Justice. Exactly what branch of employment were you seeking before?

If you don't want opinions, don't post on a public forum. It'd be nice if everyone posted what we wanted them to say - wouldn't it? This doesn't happen all the time - not to you, me, or anyone for that matter.

I would pursue this Radiation idea, because honestly (and this IS constructive), you don't appear to be the type of person who should be a teacher. If you really want to know why, I'll tell you, but you won't like it. And it has nothing to do with your record.

Similar problems? No, I've had no troubles with getting a position as a crisis intervention worker or customs border guard. The trick is to not be a criminal before entering the Criminal Justice field Wink See, a non-criminal past is basically a requirement of any job in that field. I'm not exactly sure how you completed your diploma and degree without realizing that. Surely you noticed in the job advertisements that practically all positions require a records search? Why should criminals work with criminals? Doesn't that just breed trouble?

What you talking about i have no criminal record

Mr. marbelez

But your right---I should be realistic i will no longer fool myself thinking i can get a career. After getting turned down for workstudy 4 times, practicuums 2 times, one field trip, over 50 places turned down for volunteering, over a 1000 places turned me down for work(well 26 pages in my book with both sides covered). I should get real.

Forget teaching and Ill forget about radiology too because they wont let me near patients or drugs---id probably just do the drugs anyways--yep im a terrrible terrible person and stupid as heck

Why should i continue to put myself through this hell?
Man im practically sleeping on the streets for this last year(cept when i stay at step by step, or horizons shelters)

But id like to thank you and everyone on this site for all the help---however, i cant not waste my time.

ha! I didnt have what it takes anyways

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for all the advice from some really nice people

Take care -----------------

Yeah it is now. What happened was that all the wacko stuff that was going on on the CHina forum and the Korean forum about a year ago has been moved here. Welcome to the party...

It must be a joke thread. It's definitely not a dialectic thread.
