I see this has a free 30-day trial, then you have to pay for it. Which version do you have? |

I use the free edition of Pop-Up Stopper.
Add www.job.com to the blocked domains in IE Privacy>Edit.
You can also go into your WINDOWS directory then COOKIES and delete all the cookies. If Job.com is using Java, then go to the Windows Update site (shortcut is in the TOOLS menu) and update your WINDOWS with the required security patch(es) to deal with the Java vulnerability.
PM me if you encounter further problems and I can advise some more stringent measures (that require a little more work).
Cheers! |

| Have you tried Firefox? |
Look at one of my earlier posts on this thread. I have tried it, but with my wireless sytem, it crashes my Internet connection. That was with a downloadable version of Firefox, by the way. Any other options? |
Sorry Glenski I didn't actually realise that post was from you. I did actually mean to recommend downloading Firefox 1.0 which was introduced fairly recently. "a few months ago" would have been before the final version was released. Worth a try to download the final version no?
I have to say I don't really understand why a browser would conflict with a wireless net connection. I used Firefox as a very early beta version in Japan with a Buffalo wireless card and experienced no problems at all back in 2003.
You could try getting a copy of Hijack This from
http://www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html
and posting a report on a forum that deals with spyware specifically. (Un)fortunately I've never had to resort to that so I can't help you with it. |

schmooj,
The error is mine. I have never loaded Firefox browser. I thought that was the name of a firewall I had installed, which caused my system to crash.
Just started looking into Firefox because of recommendations here and on another site. Any issues I should know about? It's a huge change from IE, and I wouldn't want to screw something up. I can handle navigating a browser, but my wife uses Outlook for her email, and when someone sends her an email address, she clicks on it and gets sent to IE automatically. No problems with that, I presume?
It's such a pain working with a Japanese OS, too. I go to MS web site for updates and such, and I have to change the language to English because my computer automatically uses Japanese. However, when I ask it to look for updates I may need, it switches back to Japanese and downloads them. Sigh. |

| Glenski be careful if you're importing your bookmarks from IE to Firefox. Somehow I lost all my bookmarks from IE, about 100 or so and some very important ones for my research papers. I never did recover them all. |
