I would love feedback on my performance. So far the closest thing I have to feedback is that they are renewing my one semester contract for the third year in a row. Nobody has ever commented on what I teach, how I mark or how high I mark. It's frustrating. I can only assume they're satisfied.

I asked for 20,000 and they balked. I mentioned how they were trying to pull a fast one and they played innocent. They said that I had previously verbally cancelled the contract which I had not done. I only said that I'd consider the circumstances but I wanted to negotiate first. Now they're trying to fire me officially (they can do this per the rules of the contract if they say I was an unfriendly and negative teacher..... they are inventing proof that all these teachers complained in this meeting, but I asked several teachers, and they say they remember no such meeting but I think the school is cunning enough to find a few lackeys to lie on their behalf, and I don't think a foreigners word against a Chinese would stand up here) and threaten me with loss of the bonus and other things if I don't agree to a minimal settlement. I really have little proof that they are inventing this firing story now. What nonsense. I just hope I can find another job and put this one behind me.
