there used to be a guy who was always talking about cambodia--and it was very tiresome.

By "MR" I mean our friend on this forum, not Mr, as in Mr. T. altho, that IS an interesting possibility, too. |

Yeah, so many of the old school have disappeared, and I haven't seen a really interesting (and entertaining) thread for a long time. I bet a lot of the old-timers are still around, but can't be bothered to post to the overly politicized or inane threads prevalent at the moment.
Some do keep coming back. Smooj (sorry if I've spelt it wrong) disappeared for a while, but has come back to post occasionally. I've been off in a sulk for a few weeks, but found I had something I really had to vent about on the Indonesian forum.
I like this thread! - What's the harm? And I don't think politics has reared its ugly head yet. Has it?
The moderators split the China forum into 'job-related' and 'non-job related', and threatened to oust anyone who posted on the wrong forum. Why can't we have a similar division for political and non-political posting, - and banish anyone who 'highjacks' a non-political thread with political opinions?
Anyway, goodnight all. Sleep well. It is now 4.40 a.m. in Indonesia, so I think I, personally, am going to give up on sleep for tonight. |

Shmooj, why so bitter? You know, you've always got the choice to not read?
Have a little fun in life...229 views on this thread and 209 on the Please Donate thread. Where are people's thoughts these days? |
Gee get out yourself. My life is fun enough for me... I'm bitter because I remember how it used to be before and wish, like others who've been around, we could have discussions dissimiliar to this one. You don't know what you're missing.
And how do I have a choice when the title of your thread is so ambiguous. Heck this is an ESL forum.
MODS we NEED an off topic forum on this board. That will keep GUy and his buddies/alter egos happy AND the rest of us. |

What's her name? What a cutie!!!! You're right. How vain of me. To think I thought you were singing to me, or to Moonraven. |

Roger, it's a sunny wintery morning here in Zhuhai. That grey (not gray ) must be the usual GZ air. |

That little doggie's name is, and I ain't kidding, Tsunami.
Shmooj, no need to make this personal. I empathize with you on the lack of good informational threads on this forum. But I think a thread like this is better than 50 running threads of flamefest, anti-Bush, Tsunami horror, who's the best looking guy on Dave's....without a drop of ESL in it. Yet you choose to poke in here lamenting the loss of some glorious past? Please.
Again, all I can say is don't read it. I don't think it gets more UNambiguous than "Good night' when that is the first line of the first post?

That's real cute. You should really try fact instead of fiction. |
