Well, James Morrison did sing for the Doors, but everyone knows they from LA, CA. I wasn't kidding about liking AC/AC.

Bea Smith ( Prisoner- cell block H) was a groover but I liked Vinegar T1ts - purely for her nickname and her hard core mean woman attitude.
George Miller, the director of Mad Max, is a fav of mine. My friends and I were well into Mad Max 1 and 2 (I refused to watch Mad Max 3 and never will) when we were unstable youths. We'd watch Max then head out on our motorbikes for some mayhem around the city. Ahhh those were the days.
Old Lizzie out of Prisoner cell block H was in the first Mad Max film.
Oh and Plain Jane Super Brain was in Neighbours, not Home and Away, unless H and A ran the exact same story line, which would not surprise me in the least.

Ted Whitten - Ted was known as "Mr. Football" and has been referred to by team-mates and opposition as one of the greatest Australian Football players ever.

Fred Hollows - Professor Fred Hollows was an eye doctor (opthalmologist). In his lifetime Fred gave thousands of people, all over the world, their eyesight back.

Nicole Kidman - Academy award winner for best actress in The Hours. Has also starred in The Stepford Wives, Cold Mountain, The Human Stain,
Dogville, The Others, Moulin Rouge! Eyes Wide Shut, The Peacemaker,
Batman Forever,Far and Away and Billy Bathgate amongst others.


Geoffrey Rush - academy award winner for his role in Shine. has also starred in Shakespeare In Love, Pirates of the Carribean and Quills, amongst others.


Ian Thorpe - regarded as probably the greatest middle-distance swimmers of all time after winning the 200 and 400 metre freestyle races at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.

Greg Norman - an Australian professional golfer who spent 331 weeks as the world's number one ranked golfer in the 1980s and 1990s.

Don Bradman - an Australian cricket player who is universally regarded as the greatest batsman of all time, and one of Australia's greatest popular heroes.

Henry Lawson - Lawson and his contemporary Banjo Patterson are the best-known Australian fiction writers of the colonial period.

Bryce Courtney - Prolific author who wrote The Power of One, the story of a boy growing up in South Africa during the time of apartheid.

Kylie Minogue - a pop singer who has become one of her generation's most recognisable celebrities and sex symbols.

Peter Carey - an Australian author who wrote Oscar and Lucinda and The True History of the Kelly Gang, amongst others.

Peter Allen - He wrote "Don't Cry Out Loud" for Melissa Manchester, and scored his biggest success with the song "I Honestly Love You" recorded by Olivia Newton-John. A musical based on his life, titled The Boy from Oz, opened in Australia in 1998. . In 2003 it opened on Broadway, becoming the first Australian musical ever to be performed there. In this production Allen was played by Hugh Jackman.

Olivia Newton John - costarred with John Travolta in Grease and has had several no.1 songs.

Dawn Fraser - only swimmer ever to win gold medals in three different Olympics

Peter Weir - Directed Witness, The Mosquito Coast, Dead Poets Society, Green Card and Master and Commander amongst others.
