| The Royal Family is out-moded and the sooner they fade away the better. If doing stupid things helps the process along, I'm all in favour. Let's not forget Edward VIII (as mentioned before)who was pally with the Nazi party in the '30s - he thought they were a great bunch of lads. |

| There is a current political factor in all of this: the number of complaints from Israel that the prince had trivialized the holocaust. |

Childe Harry the Twit has an education coming to him at Sandhurst. From their website http://www.atra.mod.uk/atra/rmas/ :
To fulfil its mission the Academy has 6 core objectives.
1. To develop commanders of courage and willpower, with the temperament for decisive action in difficult and dangerous circumstances.
2. To foster attitudes to integrity, selflessness and loyalty which set the soldier apart from others.
3. To teach cadets how to think and communicate as commanders and to foster a deep interest and care for the individual.
4. To achieve a grounding in British Military Doctrine and its significance in all forms of conflict.
5. To encourage the analysis of strategic and war studies as a foundation to military thought and wisdom.
6. To train cadets in the basic skills and battlefield disciplines of soldiering.
The core objectives are not in any order of importance but reflect the three key elements in the training and education of the young officers: the moral, the intellectual and the physical.

If Hopeless Harry can handle the regimen, maybe he will become a man. Or they will throw him out and he will continue wasting his life. No more excuses that "he is young" or "he is finding himself".
He is a spoiled little s**t who needs several swift kicks in the arse by a tough drill sergeant to get his attention and show him the way to go.
IMHO. |

Joining the military is a waste of life. What Harry should do is go to Thailand and get a job teaching English for 250 baht an hour, drink some beer chang and have a good time. |

Bite your tongue sir!!
I served 3 years and look where it got me. A starring role directing misguided lefties to see the right at the end of the tunnel.
But seriously, some time in the forces would do young Harry a world of good. Learning a little self discipline, teamwork, ingenuity, and how to have some self confidence.
He is already pretty skilled at the "drink some beer and have a good time" section of his studies. |

Today's story in La Jornada (www.jornada.unam.mx) also gave a rundown of the prince's diplomatic scrapes in Buenos Aires--where the police contacted the UK embassy and asked them to keep the little s**t under control, as well as a few of his other capers.
It also indicated that he may well not be allowed to enter Sandhurst. |

"Joining the military is a waste of life."
This comment, reflective on the poster, speaks for itself. |

| I think what I object to most is that my taxes are funding his joke about the deaths of six or more million people. |

Maybe this is a hot moment for those folks who believe that the monarchy is obsolete to really press their case?
For you eager beavers on the political right--I said "monarchy"--not "Geneva Conventions".... |

Sir,
I most vehemently protest my innocence in not understanding your statement. What joke? Where is there a punchline in the historic truth that 6 million Jews were massacred during WWII? |
