I called PAKMAIL shipping/packing company and they said they have a 20kg limit as well with surface or sea mail and max dimension of 200cm. 50cm more than Japan Post.
But how come on Japan Post website for EMS it states that the maximum weight is 30kg??? isnt that misleading?

Where can I find an office depot in OSAKA for a sturdy box?

thanks

No, not misleading, absolutely correct.

For normal surface mail there is a 20kg limit.
For EMS which is priority air mail, there is a 30kg limit.

Also, that dimension limitation is worth noting too.

For sturdy boxes, head to your nearest electrical goods shop - the kind of place where they sell fridges and large screen TVs. They often have large boxes out the back and, if not, they can keep some for you. The bigger the better because you can then cut them down with a craft knife and double line them.

Alternatively, you might want to contact a local moving/haulage company and simply ask how much it would cost to buy some boxes.
