as of 2 yrs ago, uni jobs inkorea were difficult to get if you didn't have in-country experience.
that said, there's some bureaucracy about a master's that makes it better for the uni's to hire you.
scout around the korea board, apply apply apply. job fairs, that sort of thing.
worst they can do is say no.
i lived off half my salary in south korea, and i wasn't very careful, and didn't teach on teh side.
mind you, i don't smoke, and only drink about one bottle of wine a week, if that...
still, i was banking around 400 USD/mth. |

| I have to make amends for what I said about 3.0 mil a month. Turns out i was talking out of my tukus. 2.0-2.5 is okay if you get 1) decent vacation time and 2) permission to work elsewhere during vacation. The visa system here is utterly FUBAR, the result of a predominantly racially vindictive populance, so if you want more than one job simultaneously, it's best to get all your caca in one neat pile. |
