Check out this page on a blog:

http://www.free-esl-blogs.com/blogs/blog.asp?fEntry=239

Well, if it was said on free-esl blogs dot com then there's no disputing it is there? They are, after all THE AUTHORITY when it comes to academic and professional accreditation. Rolling Eyes

Most of the wind is taken out of the message by the banner ad above the blog advertising for certificate mills, particularly since the author claims to be involved in the site in a "consultative capacity".

Grammar, spelling, etc.
I think by and large what students around the world need is practice reading writing listening and speaking AUTHENTIC language. A colleague of mine is doing research on the speech patters of Czech university students, whose speech often sounds too "newspaperish" or "textbookish" unless they spend time in the US, UK, etc.
