Has anyone heard about a "slider card" or something to that effect? It is a CD that you load into your PS2 and it allows you to play American region games (on a Japanese PS2). I am going to be piking up a used PS2 soon and think this would be better than chipping the system. Anyone here have any experience with this?

Thanks

You can use an US PS2 and XBOX here in Japan just fine. My husband is addicted to both and brought his over here. He got a mod chip installed in both while in the States. You can usually order those online and get a family member or someone to ship it over. Best bet for a CHEAP Xbox or PS2? Make friends with someone on a US base to buy you one. They are dirt cheap for the US military over here. There are bases all over Japan, so try that pr better yet Ebay. But they will work fine here. Trust me, my husband plays his EVERYDAY. Rolling Eyes
