Yes, the MA definitely gives you many more opportunities and much higher pay. If you've got an "OK" job at the moment, a part-time MA would be an option but it would take longer. I think most universities in the US would help you get some paid teaching as a graduate assistant which would help you support yourself and count something towards your experience.
Once you've got an MA, then good jobs with all the benefits will be available to you in the Middle East, which is the area I know best, and except for Saudi and maybe Kuwait, you, your wife and your children would have no difficulties with the lifestyle.
Definitely go for the MA: the only questions are full or part-time, on-campus or distance, and personally I'd go for the one I could complete quickest. |

Younggeorge, how have you found the perception of a distance masters in UAE? Do they accept as equal to an on campus masters, on the assumption it is a recognized program. |

It depends which university puts its name to the degree. As long as it's a reputable institution, it will be recognised. |
