Well I've got an FEC and a work visa but I think the college I'm working for is taking me for a ride.
I've just been all over town looking for the relevant info and I've checked out various websites, both English and Chinese - still can't find anything.
Can anybody tell me where said info might be on the internet? |

| Well I know I have DEFINITELY seen it and it was in English but a Chinese web site that belongs to some organization with authority. It could have been one of the government-sponsored recruiting sites I visit once or twice a month. I will look for it when I get up (past 4:15am here). |

OK, I looked long and hard but couldn't find anything.
But, at www.efl-law.com/china_lab_emp.html I found this:
| Quote: |
| Article 22. Employer units shall not pay the foreigners they employ wages lower than local minimum wage standards. |
So this means each province and/or each city has its own "minimum wage", which sounds fair. I mean, just because the minimum for Beijing is, say, 4000, doesn't mean less privileged provinces have to follow suit, right?
A web site that I think should have the answer but was down (often) is http://en.ccie.cn/. |
