Seriously though, nobody on this board will condone that behaviour (even the most depraved backpacker has limits - recommending a fake passport to a school shooter?). Jail would be imminent. Then again, seeing as though you all are used to YOA conditions, a Chinese jail might be a nice "cold shower" wakeup call.

Go find a nice construction job in Edmonton or something...

The group was set up to highlight CHRIS' unfair imprisonement, and activly campaigned for CHRIS' release, from the beginning. CHRIS was a lecturer in music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and the feeling is that someone placed drugs in his suitcase, whilst he was travelling from Switzerland to Japan. He was held in Japanese prisons for more than 600 days, but now he is back on UK soil, serving the remaining time on his four and a half year sentence, in Wandsworth prison. Whilst imprisoned in Japan, CHRIS sufferred from several health issues including his pre-existing hypertension, now recurring bladder infections, as well as severe frost bite on his hands and feet. He was forced to sit 'Buddha' style on the side of his bed all day and was not allowed to lean on anything. He was allowed out to exercise just twice a week for twenty minutes, spent wholesale time in solitary confinemnet, and if he chose to wear his tooth gaurd (because he was grinding his teeth) or if he refused to have his head shaven, he would find himself back in solitary confinment again. During his time in the Japanese jails, CHRIS felt it hard to move his hands and legs when he first woke up, and his communication lines were severly disrupted with his friends and family. He was only allowed write 1 letter per month, and only recieved mail with family registered with the Japanese jails.......

"Rough Justic in Japan," a documentary about Japan's legal and penal system, aired on CBC Newsworld on Saturday, April 24, 2004..... "Rough Justice in Japan" outlines the main elements that face anyone indicted in Japan - no juries, an astonishing 99.9% conviction rate!!! (ding-a-ling.. is that alarm bells ringing), and the death penalty. The Japanes penal system is described by many as being secret and a surprisingly draconian world. In the minds of its critics, Japan is a first world country with a third world justice system. Even one of Tokyo's top defense lawyers has only had one client completely acquitted in 20 years. Japanese police techniques include violence, threats and interrogations that can last up to three weeks, and the accused have little access to a lawyer. Then they face a trial without a jury. After conviction, prisoners enter a draconian penal system. Solitary confinement and mental and physical abuse are common, and inmates on death row never know the date of their execution. Prisoners live in suspense for years, unsure if the next day will be their last. Falsely accused, wrongly convicted, many of Japan's prisoners can testify to their country's rough justice - a country with a death penalty, where mistakes can be fatal.......

.....CHRIS SNELL has been transferred to England. Olga, his wife says: "He seems to be holding up o.k.- Wandsworth is an awful prison but as Chris says, it's like a holiday camp after what he's used to. He sends his love to everyone & thanks everyone for their support. I finally got his prison number and we can write to him now - so anybody would like to send him a note I'm sure he'd appreciate it!". His prison number is NX4260 Wandsworth Prison, P.O. Box 757, Heathfield Road, Wandsworth, London SW18 3HS. go to www.chris-snell.com for more info.

So let me get this straight....

He was involved in a school shooting.
Spent time in jail
Oh course it wasn't his fault...it never really is...
Doesn't have a passport...
You want to get him a fake passport so he can work Illegally...

I think you have come to the wrong place..no one on here in there right mind would help you. Good Luck..maybe your pal should go get an appretence job somewhere...But teaching overseas..I don't think so.

And my guess is too that helping someone to otain a fake passport is aiding and abetting, itself a felony in the US, if you were caught. You could end up doing jail time yourself if you were found to have helped him obtain a fake passport and assisting someone in a crime.

I hope to heck he's worth it becuase your neck is probably on the line too, by going to bat for him.

I agree that buying and using a fraudulent passport is an indictable offence (what a felony is called in Canada). Do the smart thing, the legal thing - change your name legally in the province of your residence - easy in every province except British Columbia where they will check to see that your're not a sex offender (and we all know that statutory rape is more evil than murder don't we?). Then apply for a passport. AND GET OUT OF CANADA!

Thanks for the info. However I didn't think that would be possible. Anyway if statutory rape is more evil than murder, how come people with murder charges usually spend 25 years in jail where as sex offenders usually spend around 5 years?

Okay. If Jason Lang's Killer Todd were to try and go to China or anywhere out there, how the hell would he get there?

Don't worry. If you have a criminal record and you change your name, wouldn't they move your criminal record under your new name? Not to mention that since 9/11 it's probably not that easy anymore? (if it ever was).

This entire thread is immensely disturbing.

If the original poster is for real: DON'T bother. Stay at home, twiddle your thumbs, hum a pretty ditty.

The more I read of it, the more I think this guy is either incredibly dense or a troll. And if you're a troll: stay off the internet, twidde your thumbs, hum a pretty ditty.

I can't believe you posted the links...

You can teach in Taiwan with no degree, but you have to take Chinese lessons. I know people that are doing it. You have to go to school for 10 hours a week. After your two month visa expires you will have to do a visa run. When you do a visda run you take all your school papers to the visa office and they will give you a new visa that can be extended so for a total of 6 months. You are required to go to foreign affairs every month with your school papers to get your visa extended. Some schools will not hire you others will. You could always sub for your duration of your stay. There are many teachers here that are always going on vacations. Living here is cheap. Rent ill cost about $200 ca a month. When your making $25 ca an hour it doesnt take much subbing work. Chinese is a rather interesting language to know. Its not a bad idea to get experience here first before venturing off to other countries. If your interesting check out the teaching in Taiwan websites.

Hey buddy. I'm not the school shooter. Todd is. And besides I never had contact with him since he escaped from custody and was re-captured. So much for offering information to a school shooter. Although I do think that giving a drive by shooter a school bus job in Taiwan would be a great idea. Teach all the kids how to use guns. hehehe.

Hey. this information helped me. I'm sure there are other people looking at this topic looking to get some useful information. Although Chris420 is a little wacked out. Hey Chris. Remember when Todd escaped from custody? That just shows how bad he wanted to go to China with Jared Milder.

Hey Chris. I don't care if your trying to get a school shooter into Asia. I think we should still share info with you. I'm sure you know about the WH visas in Japan as well as the spouse visas. Here's some more information for you. Go to www.cie.ca. They have a degree program. You just need 4 years or 2000 hours of experience and you need to do their syllabus of course in order to get the degree itself. Also, if your interested in going to Thailand, keep in mind most people go to Thailand on a tourist visa. What you do is get a 60 day tourist visa from Canada before you leave, and as soon as your in Thailand for that 60 days, you then pay a certain amount of baht for a 30 day extension. Which means you can stay in Thailand for 90 days without having to do a visa run. Now when you do a visa run, if your passport happens to have alot of tourist visas in them, they may ask at the border why you've been in Thailand so long. Don't worry. Just say that your still touring the country. They can't prove that your a teacher if you don't say anything. Also, go on ajarn.com for more info. Remember, some companies will hire you with no degree (even if a job posting says you need one). Just email some companies about a week before you leave, and ask if you could get an interview before you arrive in Thailand. And if your interested in teaching in China, go to www.globalcrossroad.com. Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, ask. See ya.
