Well put, Chris.

While I can appreciate the honesty of the ad, I doubt that they will get very many applicants and thus will not be able to solve their problems.

from the ad: But you don't teach to get rich anyway. It's about the experience. This is the type of thing that will change your life.

While we might not teach to get rich, we don't teach for charity either. And I have no desire to change my life, except in financial terms of course.

However, it would be a total mistake to think that, just because some 40-somethings go through a "mid-life crisis", all of them do. This is simply not the case, and I guess that we expats would say that to any administration in all sincerity. The latter, however, is not going to take any more chances on such behaviour being repeated whilst its credibility is at rock bottom. To say that this is a knee-jerk reaction is putting it mildly.

Yup, I know. I e-mailed him telling him that I liked the honesty in the ad and gave him a little bit of heck for the "no older than 27" crap. Mad It's a bit insulting to people who are in their 30's that they are thought of suffering from mid-life crisis already. Oh well, from the writing style I guessed the person is probably in his early to mid 20's. Wait until he reaches 30! Laughing Laughing Laughing

He wants greenhorns that he can exploit (recent graduates). It's more likely some kid who just out of college is the one who's not going to be able to cope or get homesick.
