the longer you stay, it is harder to leave. i agree with that. it doesn't make it easier to leave when the b/f (who actually is not turkish) has been here for ages and wouldn't leave even if i begged and pleaded. it's a good thing i love it here.
and yes ghost, welcome back. where have you been hiding? |

Came to Turkey on the advice of Prof. who once said that you haven't lived until you have consumed some raki and fish on the Marmara at sunset. He said a specific type of fish but I can't remember...
That piqued my interest. But I knew next to nothing about Turkey until I got there. It was the best spontaneous, ill-thought out decision I have ever made.
The only reason I left was because I had married a Turk and wanted to show him Canada, and get him his high school diploma, and give birth in Canada...
The plan is to come back next September permanently. I adore his family and miss TEFL. Not too many TEFL opportunities here unless you live in Toronto or Vancouver. |
