You are a gent thorn yeti. I am drinking very cheap red wine but am raising a glass in your honour. I am working tomorrow but as Ghost says, performance and expectations are low.

Thorn yeti, I don`t know if you know much about Ataturk but I feel an anecdote coming on.

Ataturk liked a drink and one Sunday he was on his boat off the Moda coast in Istanbul. He was on deck and drinking raki when people on the shore realised who he was. His aides were worried lest the people see him drinking and changed course. Ataturk said no and as the boat neared the coast he raised his glass to the people on the shore and said do you know this drink? It is raki. I drink it in honour of the Turkish nation. Or something like that.

Everyone knows the futility of trying to do anything about the miserable TEFL industry. Talking about drink is at least interesting.

Yes but I don`t believe it. I had a bad experience with raki when I was first here-Pendik funnily enough. That Necati Bey Apartmani, nearby was a village type house that had a dog outside. It would bark all night and a few weeks after I arrived I was tortured by that dog barking and not being able to sleep. One of my flatmates had a small bottle of raki in the fridge and I drank it with no water and next day I was xed. I can still taste that taste.

That excuse is a typical drinker`s excuse.

I don`t remember any place called Jazz Bar. There were the birahane places and there were some expensive places that opened late but I think I would have remembered a place called Jazz. But I was so skint then that I really didn`t go out that much.

There was a place that was painted pink. Tom went to a late bar place and was friendly with the waiters.
