Im going to go to Turkey on holiday in October, being a rich TEFL teacher who has taken advantage of poverty-stricken countries for many years, working on different teacher development projects. Obviously, I dont want to spend too much money, and would like to know - A - cheap but nice hotels in Istanbul, and B - reasonably-priced restaurants and bars in that same city where I am not going to be pestered by impoverished TEFLers bumming cigarettes or offering personal services.

Should there be a place where comely TEFL wenches gather (unlikely), that information would also be most welcome.

Finally, should any wretch be so willing as to serve as a guide (for a pittance) to that fair city, I would be very grateful.

Excellent, but - no offence intended - no personal services.

Don't bother with the female TEFLers, they have all got Kurdish boyfriends.

You want to get yourself some twenty something Turkish girl. No matter how ugly you are or how badly you treat them they will find you sweet. They will come over and do your washing and ironing and clean house for you. Best of all they have to be home early in the evening so you can get your ashes hauled and then have plenty of time to go out on the beer.

I could take you into our ET staffroom and fix you up with one of my elementary students. PM me before you come.
