I know. But on my ET hourly pay holidays are like a punishment. No pay and all you can afford is a ''pansiyon.''

31. I do not understand why you can't leave English Time permanently. Are you applying for other jobs ? The BC are after a senior teacher. Why not go for that ? Holiday pay, health insurance, sick pay, etc. Any negative publicity ET gets is richly justified (although what you describe is similar to that many ESL tutors here in the UK face: no holiday / sick pay, no rights of pension or union protection). You apparently know the situation in Istanbul re efl work very clearly, you know the options available to you. Re-establish your locus of control. You could get another job because this one is so unsatisfactory -and you know you won't change ETs conditions by ranting on this forum.

31, other than you and a few outdated posts on th JIJ, where else can we find negative things about ET? It really does seem like you are on a one man mission to destroy ET. You wont win, time to give up? Or will you will keep the rage alive by boring everyone else with the same old comments?
(PS why did ET sack you?)

let me say again that 31 does not work for ET and a lot of the things he says about it are unfounded. I have addressed these in other posts and will not bore the pants of you all yet again. he is on a misguided mission and does not have the cojones to identify himself. take his posts for what they are worth-- not very much

Waltz into an ET staffroom next month and you will get all the negative comments you like. Talk to the students or best of all work there again and you will have all the negative comments you want. BTW Niste's comment was about ET and was negative. You know as well as I do or better perhaps what ET are like.

hehehe. Cojones.

I'm glad you had a good one, whynotme. I'm off to the US Saturday, for 2 weeks. Should be good-- I have that last-week-before-vacation homesickness, and I'm hoping 2 weeks is long enough to get it out of my system. After that I'm hoping to lay around on a beach somewhere in Turkey for at least a few days...

We'll be visiting family in cowboy country. Want some cowboy stuff?

There are definitely people who wear those clothes, for real, I mean-- not tourists though they do too, especially the Japanese. And I suppose there are ones who take baths in barrels, though I've never seen it myself.

If I see Bush I might say hi, but I will be sure to say a lot of other things too. He won't be able to hide from the torrent of words, then he'll scornfully call me a liberal and go off on his misguided and hypocritical way.
